Subsector spotlight: Energy

It’s no surprise that the largest country in the Western Hemisphere is a global leader in sustainable resource management and development. Canada is among the world’s largest energy producers with diverse resources spanning oil, gas, wind, solar, tidal, hydrogen and more. Canada’s oil and gas industry is undergoing a digital transformation with increased investment in technologies to push cost reduction and improve environmental performance with an eye toward the future.

Success stories:

Burnaby-based General Fusion has produced the world’s largest plasma injector in its effort to be the first in the world to generate fusion energy.
