Vancouver hosts 2019 Women Deliver Conference

World’s Largest Conference on Gender Equality Meets in Vancouver

The Women Deliver 2019 Conference is part of a record year for international conferences held at the Vancouver Convention Centre where 17 global conferences have chosen Vancouver as their host this fiscal year.

The world’s largest conference dedicated to gender equality and the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women, the Women Deliver 2019 Conference puts Vancouver on the world stage as more than 8,000 of the greatest minds, strongest advocates and most progressive leaders from across the globe convene to build a more gender equal society. Taking place June 3 to 6, the conference includes Culture Night on June 5, a free public event on Jack Poole Plaza that will connect Women Deliver delegates to the local community for an evening of entertainment, dialogue and cultural exchange.

“British Columbia welcomes the great minds and progressive thinkers that are promoting global gender equity. Our government shares this priority and continues to advance gender equity in the work we do every day,” said Lisa Beare, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture. “We are pleased to see these 17 international conferences will bring over 26,500 people together to propel their industries forward, and at the same time presents us with a great opportunity to share our province with the world.”
